Even months of really good therapy proved insufficient to budge the bulk of the symptoms I experience as a result of severe PTSD. In seven weeks of practicing Open Focus I have seen huge changes, it feels like a miracle. The changes include:

* massive reduction in everyday pain level
* ability to rapidly deal with flashbacks and oncoming migraines . . .
* ability to dissolve anxiety quickly (I didn’t even used to notice it, it was just a background feeling there all the time that I didn’t know was normal). . .

Fehmi’s premise is very simple: most of us pay attention in a way that stresses our brain. When we learn to change the way we pay attention, our brain calms. What has happened for me is living proof that it really does work that way. I’m even starting to notice after several weeks training that I’m spontaneously paying attention in a much more diffuse way during every day activities; when I started the training it seemed impossible that I would ever be able to incorporate this into my every day life, but it’s happening now without me even thinking about it, my brain is literally changing as I do the exercises.
